Canada trip (26th June - )
Day 1: June 26th, 2004
Long wait at the airport !
Already stressed from past few months, brother wanted to avoid the hassle of trip to Detroit if I get a limo ride to Windsor. Detroit cabbies have conspired to ensure no affordable shuttle service exists at the airport to Detroit.... Anyway, the luggage took full 50 minutes to show up, by the time the Windsor shuttle had already left. Finally got the brother to come and pick me up by 8.00 a.m. Driving straight to the new construction at Windosr
The new house
What a large, beautiful house at least from the outside. Last time I came, it was nothing more than a lump of soil on the frozen ground (Nov 2002) . We got our old 'jack of all trades' old white man and his ride, a lebanese guy Hussein for the 9.00 a.m. appointment.
After all the tense moments spent figuring out where the fireplace goes, and how the shower door will fit in the master bedroom, our old guy Peter (is that his name ??) would need cash to move... Finally on the ride back to the apartment at 11.30 a.m.
1.15 p.m. : Here we start our trip !!!
First few lines on reunion: Got to see Mom and Dad after almost 2 years; how frail my Mom has become in last 2 years ! Dad is all same, just more mild mannered than past....
Bhabhi hasn't changed much, same wrinkle free forehead....
Anshika is even more cute and talkative, more bubbly and fun !
Anumita is the naughty and innocent faced ; "Mummy Chahiye" ....
Route 1: Windsor to Niagara falls
Started our trip with "Namokar Mantra", all recited by Anshika, quite impressive !

My canada trip
Hello All !
My first blog is a actually a note from my diary => summary of my canada trip.
Start of trip: 25th June 2004
7.30 p.m. : In the rock climbing gym (twisters) with my favorite climbing partner, Anna Levina. Just before, we had few sheesh kabobs and rumali rotis from the weekly mfg. party, good dinner gratis !
8.30 p.m.: left the gym and the fun behind with everyone practicing lateral movement. A fast sprint (toyota corolla) towards the apartment;
8.42 p.m. - 9.20 p.m. quick shower, final packing, got camcorder, computer etc. etc. Vineet bhai ambled lazily towards the apartment, worried about his credit history problem more than my missing my flight !?#$?
9.50 p.m. : At the SFO aiport with express service of the green vintage toyota corolla. One banana at the airport to keep tummy from rumbling...
10.45 p.m. - 5.40 a.m. (EST) : difficult, cramped, half asleep journey
